Kate is growing up so quickly ….

Ken, Kate and myself decided to take a trip back to Singapore to visit our relatives and friends when Kate was just over 3 months old. She has grown sooo much since she arrived here. She smiles a lot more now and she has learnt to recognise faces of our relatives and I think she associates certain facial expressions with some of them. I know she sticks out her tongue at my mom whenever she sees her – she sticks out her tongue and gives us a very cheeky smile – almost as if she knows that she is not supposed to do that but she wants to continue to do so because it elicits a cute response from us adults.

She has been such a good and accommodating baby, allowing different relatives to cuddle her and to play with them .. she is such a social baby. Everyone is so happy when they see her because her smile lights up their day and she responds to them. Its such a joy to see others blessed by Kate.

I reckon she has a good memory too. Here’s the background to my story – Kate uses 2 different bath tubs during her stay here as we stay with my in-laws on weekends and return to my parents’ place on the weekend. The bath tub at my in-laws’ require Kate to lie in an inclined position on the bath aid while we bath her. The bath tub at my parents’ require Kate to sit up as she leans back on the tub. When we tried to bathe her at my in-laws’ yesterday, she insisted on sitting up instead of leaning back on the bath aid. Whenever I try and get her to lean back, she uses her stomach muscles to prop herself into a sitting position. She must remember that she was sittinig yesterday when she bathed why is it different now? So clever!

She loves her bath time .. she kicks and flails her arms as though she is swimming. I think I heard a little giggle from her yesterday while she was enjoying her bath time … our little girl is growing up … she is exploring her surroundings … ooh …
