Starting solids

Finally, Mommy you are feeding me something other than breastmilk (is what Kate would have said if she could speak)

Kate had her 1st teaspoon of baby rice cereal during lunch today. She seems to enjoy it. I reckon I added too much milk and there wasn’t much consistency in it .. haha .. shall try another teaspoon during dinnertime later .. this time mixed with less milk .. we learn .. we learn

 

Mums n Bubs movie session

Kate and I attended our 1st Mums and Bubs movie session today. It was a pretty nice experience. Kate slept through the entire time they were showing ads and trailers and woke up 15minutes into the movie. She sat through and watched quite a bit before she started fussing for a feed. One nappy change in the entire 104mins. Well done, Kate!

Rolling over

Yipee dee .. hooray .. our darling Kate rolled over from her back to her tummy during playgroup today. All the moms and bubs saw it … what a splendid moment … praise God I was there to witness this milestone. Thanks Dear for supporting my decision to take a year off work to be with Kate.

Kate is growing up so quickly and is such a joy to be with. Such a smiley baby .. oh, and did I mention she loves to “chat” … just ask her daddy and me .. haha

I love it when …

I love it when you:-

♥ stick out your tongue at me and follow it with a cheeky grin

♥ have your legs “uber” straight when I change your nappy

♥ smile while you watch me dance to praise music

♥ look up and smile at me from your floor mat whenever I walk past

♥ try and talk to me while nursing .. that is sooo cute

♥ gives me a surprised look if you hear a new sound (“Mommy, what is that sound?”)

♥ take loooong arvo naps

♥ play with your toys contentedly while I go about my stuff

♥ smack your lips together (daddy loves it when you do this)

♥ listen to us pray

♥ watch daddy play basketball with such admiration

♥ wrap your little fingers around mine

♥ kiss me on the cheeks (ok, perhaps you are not but I wanna think you are)

♥ are happy in your carseat and pram .. no more wailing in car and malls .. whee

I love it the most when I see daddy cuddle you, play with you, read to you, kiss you, carry you on hi lap while we eat, carry you so you can join us for Praise & Worship in church.
